It was built to endure an eternity, The monumental tombs are relics of Egypt's Old Kingdom era and were constructed some 4,500 years ago.
The complex is around 7.5 km at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km southwest of the city centre of Cairo.
